How do I watch Hulu on Xbox 360?

"I have a laptop and an Xbox 360. I watch Hulu on my laptop, but I don't like connecting my laptop to my HDTV. Is there a way I can watch Hulu on Xbox 360?"

Watching Hulu on Xbox 360 isn't built in on Xbox Live yet, but lets hope it's coming soon. In the meantime, you can watch Hulu on Xbox 360 if you install some additional software on your laptop. Basically you have to play Hulu on your computer, and it automatically streams to your Xbox using the Media Connect technology built into Windows. To set this up, there are a few steps you need to take.

The first thing you need to do is download and install PlayOn.

The software isn't free, but it's the only option you have for getting Hulu to stream to your Xbox 360. One small tip I have here is don't pay full price. You have to give PlayOn an email address in order to get the trial software. They will then offer you various discounts enticing you to buy the software, some as low as $5.00. Wait for a steep discount on the price before registering. You have 14 days to try out the software, so you won't be waiting to use it.

After you get the software installed, you need to make sure you are allowing your Xbox to connect to your PC. Both your computer and your Xbox 360 need to be turned on for this to work.

Over on your Xbox 360, you will find access to PlayOn under your Video Library. It should show up as PlayOn on My PC in the menu. From there you can browse available Hulu content, as well as content from any other PlayOn plugins you may have installed.
