HP has a team of Cloud Advisors tasked with providing education on a variety of cloud computing challenges. As part of my Oracle Open World coverage, I spoke with two of the Cloud Advisors, Lee Kedrie and Archie Reed. A good portion of the discussion centered around cloud computing security and the challenges faced in creating a secure computing environment in the cloud. In addition to speaking on cloud computing security, Archie Reed has also written a fairly comprehensive introduction to securing your cloud infrastructure in the ebook Silver Clouds, Dark Lining.The first video defines cloud computing to provide a jumping off point for the discussion and then launches into some of the security challenges of cloud computing.
