If you live in Iowa (or are a former Iowa resident as I am) and purchased Microsoft software between May 18, 1994 and June 30, 2006, you are very likely entitled to a refund based on a settlement between the State of Iowa and Microsoft. Unfortunately, the deadline for filing your claim to your chunk of the $179,950,000 is fast approaching. If you don't file your claim at iowamicrosoftcase.com by December 14, 2007, it looks like any chance of seeing that money is out the window.

I personally think the whole lawsuit was crap, because I'm pretty sure I got my money's worth from every Microsoft product I purchased in that time frame, but the legal ruling says otherwise, so you might as well take what you're legally entitled to.
