My friend Brandon Wirtz wonders whether automation is a bigger threat to the U.S. job market than outsourcing. He forgets we already know the outcome; the machines will enslave us, we will fight a war to defeat them. Total destruction of mechanized civilization will turn the world back into an agrarian economy. Plenty of jobs for all. Problem solved.
