Digital Photography Hacks

As another book in the popular O'Reilly Hacks series, Digital Photography Hacks aims to provide readers with "100 Industrial-Strength Tips & Tools" designed to help create better digital photos. The book certainly seems to live up to this goal by providing tips on everything from camera phones to Photoshop to secrets of nighttime photography. The tips on "Flash Magic" will be especially useful to amateur photographers that hope to improve the quality of photos using the difficult to control electronic flash. The book seems to fall short on a couple of tips by opting for QuickTime Pro instead of providing instructions for bundled software like MovieMaker and iMovie. However, this is a relatively small part of the book and can be overlooked due to the great wealth of knowledge in the rest of the tips. [Reviewed by Paul Ludington]
