Brad Blumenthal, part of the Data and Infrastructure Services Group at HP, advises companies on the intricacies of launching private cloud infrastructure. As part of my 2010 Oracle Open World coverage, I had the opportunity to speak with Brad about a number of the factors facing companies who are looking to implement a private cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructure. I know when I talk with people about implementing cloud-based solutions there is a great deal of confusion about what a cloud infrastructure even means. One of the key takeaways from the interview includes some of the selling points for those of us who influence IT purchase decisions and need to make a case to the executive team.
